Once you've completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping, you'll be able to take on entry-level roles such as:

There are two AAT Bookkeeping qualifications available.

The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping is perfect if you have no or minimal bookkeeping experience, or if you haven't yet mastered essential skills like double-entry bookkeeping.

The AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping is your next step once you have a firm grasp of all the topics covered on the Level 3 Certificate, including double-entry bookkeeping. Our AAT course guides include a detailed breakdown of the topics covered in each course.

If you plan on completing both qualifications as most students do, you can save money and transition smoothly by studying our Level 2 & 3 Combined Bookkeeping course.

If you’re not sure which level to choose, we recommend the AAT Skillcheck. It’s a 30-minute multiple-choice test that will suggest the right level for you based on your accounting knowledge.
