I decided to do my AAT qualifications as I failed my A levels and then went straight to work. Some years later at 23 I have nothing to prove for myself, I have been at a steady job for a while that was no longer challenging for me, and I wanted to get out of there and spread my wings.
I was looked down on, as on paper (my CV) I don’t come across as the person that I am, because people look at your education and qualifications and to the employer, I didn’t have much to offer.
I never thought I would be good at it as I was always bad at maths at school, but doing it yourself teaches you more and I love doing my studies when I get back home from work.
Doing my studies has taken a lot of self-discipline, after a long day at work, after you cooked dinner and sat down the last thing you want to do is work, but I always remind my self that this is for me, this is for my future and for the last 6 months I have been putting in hours of work into this and the fruit of my labour is coming through!
